Lucky shot I caught of my 1 year old. I was laying on the ground and just pointed the camera at her and shot. Lucky I got the focus point on her! Anyway, I love this shot and just wondering what others think of the shot and the PP. I just cropped, dodged the eyes, hit it with one of LR's color presets and some vignette.

Personally, I've never been a fan of the angle shots. Others like it. Other than that it's very good.

I like angled shots - but within reason.... she looks all topsy-turvy to me.

But she's a beautiful baby and the shot (other than the angle) is very, very good!

Good feedback. Thanks. Maybe something is wrong with me because I find the angle/shot looks somehow natural. Maybe I'm spending too much time on the ground with the kids. lol

Good to know how things are perceived by others because I never saw the angle as a problem.

And some don't. It's just a personal preference for me. I know people that make a good living in photography but whenever I see a shot they did similar to this I just think 'Meh, Focus is good' or whatever. Too me it sort of looks like a scene from the 1960's Batman TV show. Remember the villain scenes were all angled shots. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Angled means The Joker is lurking somewhere... JK :D

She does have kind of a blank, zombie stare going on...

I really do appreciate the comments. Obviously not everyone is going to love every shot, but I like to understand different points of view (pardon the pun.) The Batman reference definitely puts this one in perspective! :)

Thanks. I hope so. She is a bit of a monster sometimes and I kind of lose it. I know I'll miss these days one day, but right now I can't wait until she's got about another year under her belt. Our 2 year old is a LOT more fun right now than this one is. She is ALWAYS trying to get into EVERYTHING! Probably doesn't help that she started walking at under 10 months. She is now working on running I think. I put her on the far side of the living room and walk back to continue working on unloading the dishwasher and she is back by my side before I get a couple plates put away!
