Weird stone formation

Interesting capture, though I have no insight on their placement...

Could have been placed by people - rain, etc. could have washed the traces away by now.

almost looks like a dry lake bed. Remember seeing on Discovery Channel something similar except the rocks were much larger. In the documentary, the large stones were actually BLOWN into place on a similarly flat area by powerful winds that come to life after sundown and before sunrise.

Nature is both powerful and interesting.

people like you and me probably set those stones up so questions will be asked, and it's happening, spooky eh?

looks great. I don't think this is from ancient times. I guess it's more likely to me placed by humans within the last years

I know I saw a few stacks of round stones in the Ausable River this summer and left a few myself...
