OK, one more from the Monday festival -- this shot has my bike...

I met a friendly TV crew who were not only happy to let me park my bike by their van and gear, but also showed real interest when I pulled out my 5DC with the big white 70-200 on it:

Well then, I took a short bike ride today, but it wasn't to take photos. It was a sad memorial ride to drop of my beloved 5D Classic at the nearby UPS store to be wrapped, boxed and sent off to the Canon Service Center in Irvine, CA -- it should be gone for 1-2 weeks, I guess.

My bike was my loyal transportation. But, I did decide to take my good old 30D with the 16-35 lens on to give that camera the chance to honor us with a few memorial pics!

I decided to post the story and pics in the "old" Biking Photog "story" thread in the lounge, so if you haven't seen it pop up, here's the post:

https://photography-on-the.net …?p=12716357&postcount=335

Things just won't be the same...

My 22 year-old Scott Super Evolution - just look at those enormous blobs of welding around the joints!!!!!
And the local(ish) water tower.......no, I have no idea why it looks a little like something from a Disney movie.

Cheers for now,
Simon

I'm riding 30 miles a night, three nights a week, and 40-50 miles on either Saturday on Sunday. It;s my favorite and newest of three roadbikes: 2 Tommasini's and a Canondale (I also have two MTB's - a Trek and Canondale.

I went to Grosetton, Italy to buy this one in 2000. It has a complete Campy Record 10 grouppo. Since this picture was taken, I upgraded the crank with the Record UltraTorque. That's an expensive, but awesome upgrade!!!

Geez, nice bike. My bike is envyous of your bike's components.

I really need to get my cycling going again.

Maybe some of the ladies could start a separate but related thread "Bikini Bikography", but then I'm afraid all interest in this thread could die...:)!
