Over the past few months I've found myself developing an interest in old buildings stuck in the middle of fields - forgotten and in need or substancial repair - "An ideal fixer upper"

No idea why, perhaps it just makes a change from the noise and frantic levels of activity, my normal photography brings. (not bad normal and photography in the same sentance!!)

North Yorkshire not too far from Inglebrough

This one is a cheat - the building is in the middle of a race track. Lots of these around East Midlands (UK) all WWII airfields.

Gday there. I like the first one. Not so keen on the 2nd one....the "hill" obstructs. I think, for me, it could be cos I can see some of the first floor.

I am also a fan of these & they take great photos. We did a tour of UK a few years ago & you have PLENTY of these types of buildings. Most are older than we have been "colonised".

That is an excellent point Bluedogs - Back for another go I think as I seem to remember a hill I can stand on

I was trying for the "face" peeking over the grass - so either higher or lower is the way to go

While down in NZ for 3 years a local commented to me "the difference between the Kiwis and you Brits is that you think 100 miles is a long way and we thing 100 years is a long time"

Cheers Dave

The first one is very nice and the second is intriguing as it captures a 3d world and presents it as simple 2d shapes. I look forward to seeing more of these!

#1 tells it as it is. #2 leaves you wanting more, but wait, maybe the photographer wanted it that way. The AYES have it here.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.
