I shot this last Friday and posted it in the landscape folder so apologies for cross posting but I'd like to get comments on how I could improve on the shot. It was pouring rain at the time and I shot it from my car with the window down as I was stopped in traffic. It was shot in AV. Post work was to set white balance to cloudy and add a gradient to the sky in lightroom. Not sure if I should have posted the SOOC version or not and if that would be better. Shot with a 7D and 17-55 ISO 100. The exif data got lost when I exported it but if I recall correctly aperture was set to 8 and shutter was somewhere around 1/80.

I like the imagery but it still seems kind of flat to me so any comments or ideas for things to keep in mind would be much appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

I'm assuming it's a car through standing water. If so a head on shot may have been worth considering, or capturing a vehicle entering/ leaving the present scene.

For shooting this on the go and in your car I think it is an excellent shot. If you werent in your car though (like said about) a front facing shot would have been better. No picture taking and driving though thats distracted driving :D

Thanks guys. I tried for some more head on shots but there was a bus in the way. I managed to grab these while we were stopped so it was a very limited window. It was an impressive storm and the amount of water that came down in such a short time was unreal.
