MANUAL MODE only with a priority given to aperture when needed and shutter when needed, in either case the camera is set on (M). Call me a 'control freak" but I like at least thinking that if the exposure is off a bit it is MY FAULT and I cannot blame the camera! :D

In the past I have tried Av and Tv with mixed results, honestly it depends on what I am shooting.

I use M all the time with flash. Outdoors I usually use Av or Tv initially then look at this histo and perfect it with M.

I generally prefer "Á La" Mode...

I use a mean median mode!

I shoot aperture priority when I'm out taking pics with the family, but most of my serious work is done in manual. On my first SLR those were the only modes available.

I voted "other".... By which I mean I just use whatever mode that's best for the situation.

Problem with the question and poll is it doesn't ask why.

I probably use M most, but can't be sure... Whenever light is steady, I'll use M to avoid the hassle of EC and variations caused by reflective metering.

I use Av and Tv fairly often, occasionally P, whenever an automatic exposure mode is needed, such as variable lighting conditions. I use P when shooting fast and don't have time to think about my settings.

And, pretty rarely, B... unusually long exposures. Of course my Canon cams can do up to 30 seconds... So I'm sure I've used B more on other cameras that don't offer such a long speed.

Don't think I've ever used any other mode on a Canon camera. At least not on purpose.

Yes, I prefer "a la mode" with pie, too.

I usually shoot in AV, sometimes TV and occasionally M when I'm doing HDR. Never auto and certainly never depeche mode.

Thank you. bw!

I remember same poll went on few months ago.
I vote M since it was dark time of the year.
Voted AV now, because it is more sun now.

x2, I don't know if I voted last time, but I'm mainly in av or M.

I use Av most of the time for regular shooting or fill flash. Use Tv for fast action, and I use M for flash shots where I want to minimize or eliminate ambient.

Yeah I was ask to provide facts on what mode most people shoot for the most part. It's wasn't meant to be real serious just to show what most people shoot in. As I thought it would be mostly Manual and Av. I will say that It's interesting to see how many MORE people shoot in Av rather then Manual.

Note: that when I say facts I mean some one called me out on something so I put this poll up to prove a point on what people normally shoot and such. Please know that I have an understanding that it depends on the situation and such, I just wanted to show for the most part what people like to shoot.

I use M most of the time. However, if I am shooting action shots (especially outdoors) I use TV or AV.
