Hi all, I currently have one flash gun and would like more range.. AND, I plan on buying another two flash guns in the near future. So I would like to invest in some transmitters and receivers, can you please share your knowledge on which are the best and which ones are good value? I will be buying them off eBay. I heard pocket wizards are the go? .... I would like some good range plus ability to control up to 3 flashes guns.

Which flash do you use and which ones do you plan to buy? Do you need E-TTL features?

Cheers, Zwicko

What is "good range"? When you mean "control up to 3 flash guns," you mean controlling the power on-camera?

I'm on the same boat too. Just starting out and need advice. I know I want to use Manual mode. I will most likely use 540ez, cheap and powerful enough..

thanks

I was just reading more about transmitter and the Yongnuo 602 seems to be a good choice for me. Simple and cheap;). I'm only needing 20ft range at the most and I could just adjust each 540ez speedlite through their menu.

thanks

Then if that is what you are able to do go for the 602, 1 transmitter and 3 receivers, gives you the chance to use more lights. Better in the long run.
I have them and they are great.

Look into the Radiopopper JrX system. Or, if you want to spend a lot of cash, the Pocketwizard TT1/TT5 system.
