Hi ppl.

I'm thinking about entering this one in a competition (no huge prizes) and feel there is still something missing. The fist thing I feel that is missing is some "pow" in the sky.

What are your thoughts?

Very nice scene but I think it's lacking drama because there is no sunlight falling anywhere.

Looks as if the sun was behind a cloud which leaves it looking quite flat. Perhaps a little saturation boost for the sky and a curves adjustment that makes the clouds pop a bit more.

Yes, tweek the saturation and contrast a bit. The basic composition is nice, but personally I would crop off a little of the left side. That dark hill draws my eye over there, and there isn't anything interesting to see once you get there.

I would crop to make the sky about one-third of the image - this shifts the focal point to the birds in the water, as well as upping saturation a little.

Besides the other comments, it seems the horizon is tilted a few degrees.

Thanks for the comments thus far ppl. this shot was taken very early in the morning with a big cold front coming in that didn't let up for days.

I agree a bit more saturation and can now see the crop off the left would be a good idea.

As for the horizon, that's just how it is down here on the southern tip of Australia.

I think the problem is lack of color. The left side is fairly brown. I see some green in the left foreground, but not a whole lot.

I love the comp but it almost looks B&W. I agree with the left side you can crop that would help alot
