A little fun with some experimental processing.

I like the effect. A tiny bit more detail in the engine blacks would work for me, but there may be differences in our calibration. Most likely mine is off.
And the building windows have halos.

Thanks Frank.....this is just a fun play with a shot that was going to the bin. The black detail looks pretty crisp on my system. I just did a calibration yesterday. The desaturation might be a bit extreme.

Wish I had time to get a better angle....the "the" is part of "The Roanoke Times".

I know Roanoke fairly well. I am a regular at the VMOT, the O. Winston Link and other rail sites around the city.

Cool. Well if you ever want a shooting buddy, lemme know. I have a key to the historic #1 firehouse on Church Avenue, which has some cool history.

I like it, Dan. If nothing else, it's not yellow.

I recently drove to Las Vegas, and all the way up Cajon Pass I saw BNSF trains, one after the other. I really have to go spend a day there. I really wish there was a casino nearby where I could drop Mom off. Bouncing around on gravel frontage roads is not her idea of a good time.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

You live over 2,500 miles away, and probably have a better chance than I do from 90 miles.

Hey small world brother! I work for Roanoke City so anytime you are in the area, let me know i'd be more than happy to show you some stations. If im on shift, the coffee is always burning and youre always more than welcome to share a meal with us. My Lieutenant is a pretty awesome chef, youd leave fat and happy, trust me.

I just "joined" that group a few months ago. They are having a photo show at the co-op grocery store right down the street from where I live next month. I put a couple pictures in it and am excited to see if they sell. Havent met anyone personally yet, but chatted with them via FaceBook. Im sure i'll meet a bunch at the show next month, really looking forward to it. They do a lot of cool things, but I watch my daughter quite a bit while my wife works opposite me so I dont have much free time to go out with them.
