After passing by Mono Lake for years, and never stopping. Last year my wife and kids stayed in Lee Vining, but I slept in. This time I got up at 4:15 AM and was able to capture some decent sunrise pictures. Here's some of my favorites...

These are great, Mike. I got two sunrises there last Sept, on my second visit. (Like you, I slept in the first visit.)

LOL! I was back at the motel by 6:30 AM. My family was still sleeping, so I went back to bed for a few hours! Got a nice breakfast/lunch at the Whoe Nellie Deli.... :cool:
