HELP: Tips for Quincenera?

I will be shooting my first Quincenera event this Saturday. (no 2nd shooter)
Just me and the videographer.

Should I bring all my gear?

- gripped 5dm2
- gripped 40d
- 17-40L
- 24-70L
- 70-200L (2.8 IS)
- 50L
- 85L
- 100L macro
- 15mm fisheye
- 580ex II
- 430ex II
- (4) vivitar 283
- tripod


Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Why would you NOT bring all your gear?
Is this a gear question, or a 15th question?
Do you know what's involved...the dance, the doll, the slippers, etc?

Treat it like you would a wedding reception. These are big events for a hispanic family. Basically its a coming of age and their symbol for a step into adulthood.

24-70 and 17-40
prolly the 85mm for some individual isolated portraits of the person for whom the party was thrown for. Plenty of flash power.

By the way, The food at these Quincenera's in to die for. Authentic hispanic food. If you dont know what your eating, dont put it in your mouth:lol:

Ive done a few. They are a lot of fun.

At least Google a bit--check out the blogs that tell young "quinces" what pictures their photographers should take. Check out quinceanera videos on YouTube. Check out quinceanera photographers like Robert Lino.

Do some research.
