For starters, my built-in flash won't pop up. When I go to flash control and try to config built-in flash, it says that I can't do that because there is an external flash connected (but there isn't!). Any ideas wtf my camera is doing?

This pin gets stuck down and does not pop back up when the flash is removed and the camera thinks the flash is still there.Get a toothpick or some other small item and see if you can coax the pin to pop up. I do not have my camera handy but I seem to remember it being in the front right corner of the shoe.
