Hi everyone -

I went to visit my BIL over Christmas at his home in Wadell, AZ - very close to the White Tank Mountains park. There wasnt much time for photography with all the family stuff going on - which is OK - but that meant going out to shoot when the light wasnt always the greatest.

I actually thought the trip was a bust photographically due to the midday sun, so I never processed the images. But, the other day I was trolling the archives and thought Id give them a shot in B&W.

This Northwoods boy had difficulty composing with the wide-openness of the place so they arent any contest winners by any means, but I think they turned out OK.

CC welcome.

Thanks!

Are those last two shots of the mini-sometimes-waterfall? :)

Our son lives in Phoenix, and I'm planning on checking out the waterfall--though, it would have to be after the snowmelt, say, in Feb. (if there was any snowfall at the higher elevations).

Jim K...a 'snowbird' from Deetroit! :)

Thanks guys!

Yah, those two are right by the waterfall. We were there in December and it rained pretty heavily a couple days so the waterfall was actually running a bit if you went around the corner in #2, but it was filled with people so I didnt include it in the frame.
