The Nissin Di622 is not compatible with the Canon wireless system built into your 60D. The Nissin Di866 and the newer Di622 II are compatible.

BUT..... these flashes do have a built in optical slave which will work with ANY ETTL flash. All you need to do is turn on the optical slave function of your Di622 and make sure it is in manual mode. Also, make sure your 60D flash is set to ETTL. The Di622 is programmed to respond to the main flash after it see the ETTL preflash. (if the 60D flash is set to manual, there will be no ETTL preflash and the Di622 will not fire properly)

I guess the manual will tell you how to set it up then.

Here is a good review of your flash that touches on the wireless capabilities. Maye that will help.

I found it interesting that the reviewer claims this flash has problems exposing when the camera is set to FLASH METERING MODE - AVERAGE.
