I agree on both counts. A miminal picture has fewer elements. Most contributions to this thread, I wouldn't call minimal.

I tend to agree. There are so many images in this thread that are much less minimal than this. I was beginning to wonder if my definition of minimal was different than most.

I lean towards minimal. Featureless background/foreground, and then 3 similar objects, so really just 3 things in the picture. Even a minimalist photo has to have something in it.

The roots complicate the lower portion, too. Each of the three trees is visually complex. An image of three similar trees at a far distance, set in neutral surroundings, could be minimal, but your image has a lot of detail, with lines of varied widths curving and going in many directions.
