Flickr must know I was talking badly about it... Now the image isn't working at all! Lets see if this one works....If by chance there are 2 images in the future, ask Flickr what the heck is wrong with their server. Lol. -Dane

This is Lake Superior from the Porcupine Mountains state park in Mi, BTW. ![]() Like the image; it's like a descending bird. X100T XT3

I have a love/hate relationship with Flickr. At least I don't have to stare at the panda bear most of the time these days... Lol. Been using it since '07 though - it's all I know. Lol. Nearest for us is the Gulf of Mexico...100 miles+/-. Thank you. Pretty much every direction I go I hit water....aside from south. Then I hit Ohio, and frankly I'd rather not. -Dane

But as I understand it the only state with more shoreline than Michigan is Alaska. As far as fresh water coastline, there's not another place in the world with more. I don't think most people are aware of the Upper Peninsula - my favorite place in the world. Cheers! I've never traveled north, but should I, the UP would be on my list of regions to visit. Lol, I lived in OH for two years. The UP, however, is a different type of place. Did you know they've been trying to secede and become the 51st state for like 60 years now? Haha. -Dane

Did you know they've been trying to secede and become the 51st state for like 60 years now? Haha. I did not know that. I did know an old coot up there. He burned firewood and though disabled would keep up to five years of firewood on hand in varying stages of drying out. He was been injured in an accident some years ago but it hasn't slowed him down a bit!!! Shows the spunk of the UP'ers!!!!!!!!! Some of the pictures he's shown me are beautiful, especially during the winter...but, I don't know how this old south Alabama boy could handle over a few inches of that white stuff!!!! A few inches? I think they get roughly 300" per year. -Dane
