Thanks for the positive feedback.

The show was awesome, even though I was 25 feet from the stage I wish I had a better camera. I have a lot of shots with different colors. This particular one I thought was the best.

Love the picture, especially the color. Not a fan of the flash-lit hands and back of the one guy's head in the foreground. Scott Kelby shows a technique to toning that down that would be perfect for this picture.
If you already know it, forgive my rambling but, basically, you just lasso the hands, head, etc, feather the selection then adjust the Output Levels until they match the surrounding darkness.

Okay, on this one you need two things and neither is a "better camera". First, you need better tickets!  Second, you need a faster lens (e.g, f/1.8 ) to go with those better tickets so you can leave your flash turned off.

you know what i've notice... when I saw em for the first time back in 96, they were super active on the stage.... jumping around, climbing on things..... and when I saw em the last 2 times maybe a yr or two ago... they're lot more calm and stationlary.... Mike straight turned into a fat belly smoker with a wife beater... how did they look when you saw em?

I hope you don't mind but I tried toning down the one hand and the back of the guys head in PSE. Just a quick attempt as evidenced by my less than perfect lasso job (unsteady hand and a sticky mouse = bad combination! ). You could just go darker and almost silouette (sp?) the foreground. That would really focus the attention on the band.
Wasn't getting a good result with the blurred fingers so left them alone. Perhaps someone more PS savy than me could make a suggestion?

EDIT: I replaced my first edit with the below where I lasso'd half of the hand and head to show the difference. Again, hope you don't mind me tinkering.

They have definitely mellowed with age, but the music comes through as good as ever.

I used to live in Seattle back in 1992ish when they were VERY popular. :) I also went to Alice in chains (another seattle band) concert back in I think 88/89 or so and no one even knew who they were.

Nice photo :)
