Are there any stats out there as to how many or what percentage of 5D Classics had the mirror replaced or were affected by the issue? These types of things are always blown up online so....Any info? If not, can we poll this topic?

Please only vote if you own or did own a 5Dc. If you had the mirror replaced because it broke (not preemptive repair) please state if you spend your time in heat/humidity. Thanks!

Well, Canon did a recall of sorts and still offers free repair no matter the warranty status, so it must be pretty common.

I haven't had it happen to me (never owned a 5DC), but have seen perhaps a half dozen cameras that had the mirror problem... Once it was even a display model in a store.

The consensus of owners seemed to be "If it hasn't happened to your camera yet, it will eventually."

It will be interesting to see what folks here report about their cameras.
