Once again I was relegated to trolling my archives since my real life is doing its best to keep me from getting out and taking any NEW photos. But, I came across these from the spring of 2010 and decided to work on them a bit.

I thought they were interesting because somehow they came shot out of camera with a bit of a "painterly" look to them. I don't know what I did, but I've learned a lot in the last 16 months and I suspect I missed focus or made some technical mistake Ive since broken. Plus, the bridge was shot at f/22 on my old 40D...dont know why I did that either.

In any case, I didnt like the way they came out when I originally took them but when I saw them again today, I thought they might come out nicely if I decided to work WITH the "painterly" look rather than fight with it to make it look realistic and I kind of like the results.

Let me know what you think - thanks!

Nice ones, but I prefer #2. KUDOS to you.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.
