I'm new here so take this with a grain of salt. I have noticed many of us with limited budgets have purchased a Slik Pro 700 DX or smaller version for our tripods. Mine came with a bag but if you've tried to use it, you soon realize, it is better used as a dust cover. I don't want to be one of those people who leave their tripods at home and at the moment, I can't afford one of the many recommended carbon fiber models we see on the threads.

I ordered one of these tripod carrying cases from S. Korea. I got it a few days ago and used it the first time today. It has a very wide strap at the end that meets the shoulder. That's why I bought it. It turns out, it makes carrying a fairly heavy tripod a breeze. It's not cost prohibitive at $32.90, shipping included. A note about the shipping. It takes quite a while. The seller has it at 4 weeks or so and I got mine in about 3 weeks. The tracking number works but don't expect anything to change until it hits the States (I don't know about the UK or other countries). I checked regularly and tracking number finally changed when the product was in Chicago. 3 days later, it showed up in Florida.

Anyway, here's the eBay link: http://cgi.ebay.com …ain_0&hash=item1c16d6beb4 (external link)

Looks like a decent bag I'll have to think about it... I don't have a bag for my tripod but it wouldn't hurt to have one I guess...
