Worth getting up at 3:00 ?

Used the "Photographers Ephemeris" and it told me that Sunrise was at 6:02 across the valley - arrived at "Craters of the Moon Natl Park" at 5:30 and drove all around the park looking for the color (Wildflowers) covering the crushed black lava - Here's a couple from todays trip...

I like the light on 2 & 3. #1 looks like it was taken much later. It's still a nice shot, but I think you've lost the drama of the more directional lighting.

Maybe think about 4:30 next time unless you already have a location picked out?

Its always nice to see the results of dedication to getting good pictures.

1st one hands down, but i do like them all.
the reason i like the first one so much is because the colors blend rather nicely together. i like looking at yellows and blues and the yellow/green is great too. overall its a great photo

I would say that #1 was definitely worth getting up at 3:00 AM. Very beautiful!
