As in, velcro them UNDER your Strobe's body so they are protected from direct sun. If I ran into that problem, first thing I'd do is keep them shaded. That is my next step. Curtis, you are completely right, but this is the only problem I have had with them yet, and if I can find a way to get around this issue, then all the better. We are terribly sorry to hear all 6 of your transceivers experience a heat problem during your outdoor shoot. Indeed there has been a small number of batch with problem while operating in the heat. Despite the V5 initially satisfied all lab tests, we have now replaced a new component which will sustain up to 59°C / 138°F. Our technical team have conducted outdoor environment tests for 2-3 hours where the temperature is above 60°C. Please return your transceivers and we will send you a tested replacement with the new component. Don’t worry. You are certainly covered by our 'guarantee policy' listed on our website. This is: (1) We accept return of defective or unsatisfactory item(s) within 30 days of purchase; (2) Upon receiving the returned item, we would either send you a replacement or refund the item price to you; (3) The cost for returning the item(s) shall be borne by you. We will only be responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement. You can send back for a tested replacement unit. For all Cactus products the above policy is valid for up to 1 year. To return, please send the transceivers back to: Harvest One Limited 9D On Shing Ind. After bringing them into the air conditioned house, about 15 minutes later they started working again. Anyone else having this issue with the Cactus V5? I finally had an oppertunity to test mine. Temperature in the shade was 92 degrees (33 Celsius). One transmitter and three receivers left out in the sun for half an hour. Then I did a series of shots. Fired every time.
