Would anyone know if the canon 100mm-400mm loses AF when used with a 1.4 or 2x tc

Thanks

Could not tell you for sure about 1.4 tc, but with the 2x tc you will lose it.

6D, 5D, 7Dii, Eos R and too many lenses, flashes and aux. gear to list!

It depends on what body. Any non 1D body will loose AF with either unless you pull the tape trick and tape up a few pins. On the 1D the 1.4 will not loose focus but I believe it will with the 2x.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I believe only the 1D series will still AF with lenses slower than f/5.6. I think they go to f/8. Wish I owned one to tell you for sure!
