Any non 1D body will loose AF with either unless you pull the tape trick and tape up a few pins. On the 1D the 1.4 will not loose focus but I believe it will with the 2x. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Wish I owned one to tell you for sure! 5D4 w/BG-E20, 24-105 f/4L, 70-200 f/2.8L IS II, 35 f/1.4L, 85 f/1.8, 100 f/2.8L IS Macro, Sigma 50 f/1.4
