I love this thread. :) My little one is 10 months. They grow up so fast, this is such a great way to remember how life was when they were small. I'm a newbie, so lemme ask you a newbie question. Are you using your 85 for most of these? (I heard there was a way to check on the pic, but I can't figure it out.)

Thanks so much!!

Most of the shallow DOF shots are with my 85mm. But I've had my friends 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 for about a month now and have used them at every opportunity. I love the versatility especially with how fast she's getting. With your 10 month old I'd say get a 50mm!

In that family picture, you can tell Rylin looks like a little daddy-clone, except it looks like she may get your wife's hair color.

What a cutie pie! But wait? No halloween costume shots or will those be tomorrow after tonight?! ;)

Love the boots shot .... I have a similar one of my son when he was 3... except he has on my heels! ;) LOL I plan to use it as blackmail when he's older! haha

Totally agree.. In fact I was browing through Peyday's Flickr page. There are some chidhood photos of daddy in there, and I was like OMG, Rylin is an exact replica of daddy!

Lol! I have some pics of me as a baby that you'd swear was Rylin. It really is crazy how much she resembles me. Poor girl... Lol!

Thanks for your comments. All are very much appreciated!

You just made me shed a tear of joy with that picture... I have 2 girls (19, and almost 15). I have been thinking about going on trick or treat with them, when they were this small... all day today... and when I saw this pic.. I immediately thought of those days many years ago... and my eyes misted up...

Great expression captured for a lifetime

Enjoy these days man... they tend to go away fast... keep hugging her... and hold her tight...

You know, I had a moment when I was walking into the house with her. We went trick or treating with my sister and nephew tonight. (My nephew, Aubin)

IMAGE: http://rbfoto.smugmug.com/Children/My-Nephew/i-BS77b4N/0/XL/IMG2946-XL.jpg

When we left, I took Ry home while Tara ran to the store for a few things.

I got home and slung my camera over my one shoulder, the 70-200 2.8 on the rapid strap over my other and Rylin latched on to my side while playing with my keys. She was saying "Dada... ROOOOAAAARRRR" and I'd act like she scared me half to death all the way to the house. As we got to the front door I thought...soon this little girl is going to be too cool to go trick or treating with her daddy. Im not gonna be the coolest guy she knows all her life. She won't NEED me like this for much longer... I enjoy every second I have with my little sweetheart. I think that little walk up to the house will be one of those moments that gets etched into your brain forever.

This little girl really has me in the palm of her hand. Its funny how much we, as parents, need the children just as much as they need us...

I've got a story of a 4 year old little girl that would melt your heart, but these images are some of the most inspirational I have seen in any 365 project. You've selected the absolute most important subject for your 365 project and you are doing her justice! Your entire family there is just a standard of beauty, and I'm not talking that textbook supermodel beauty. No, I'm referring to that this family is the most in love family I've seen conveyed in such a way that no matter how long you look at it the fact will never change.

I love your pictures very much, she is a beautiful little girl. And for the part that daddy is no longer her coolest guy in the world whe she is getting older. My dad has alway been the coolest guy in my world and will always be that even now that he past away and I'm a grown women:lol::lol::lol:. Don't worry!

Wow, thank you very much for those kind words. Thats so very nice of you to say. I appreciate it more than a few typed words on a internet forum can say.

Thanks! Thats very reassuring! I hope I can be type of dad that she always comes to and never hesitates to call when she needs help. Thats my goal as a father!
