Very cool shots, Never was lucky enough to see the Offshore rigs race, Have seen the Hydroplanes race though, The Hydroplanes are coming to our area again at the end of next month, Hopefully i ll get a few nice shots to share, Thanks for sharing

I was in San Diego, and just happened upon some Hydro races, very cool stuff. They are much closer so I am looking forward to seeing your shots

I was shooting with 200mm, not enough glass. Depending on venue, you really need 400mm and up, if you are shooting from the beach. I just shot with what I got, and am pleased with the results, based on the lens used.

They run in Super Stock class, and both participated in last weeks world championships, held in Key West, FL.

S-5 WHM took 3rd
S-29 Talbot took 7th

good work with the glass used, just keep an eye on your horizons (i'm guilty of doing the same)
