My Backyard

Well, not really. I live in an apartment in the city but the Rideau River is only a kilometre or so away so I spend a lot of time roaming up and down my little stretch of water. I'm starting to really know and love this river and it's inhabitants...

(We recently started a cycling thread and I'm sorry to say that temporarily I'm in no condition to cycle (I'm 56 yrs old) but I'll be back!)

Here's a few from my casual stroll down by the river today.
1st one was shot with the 300mm f4L + 1.4x extender and the other two with the 70-200 f4L.
