well at least one will be better then none. although really why show up. i mean if MG is the only turbine there then of course MG would win the turbine class. but you would think they would rather race other turbine boats for the competition, to be pushed to win...
seems with the cost of travel, fuel, an all that it wouldn't be feasible to be the only one to show up...
Sponsor contracts require that the team meets it's commitments, and therefore, they go.
MG has publicly said, if the turbine class does not grow, they would like to run another
boat, in a class, that actually has some competition.
At this weekends race, we had several big name teams, field a second boat in Super Stock
class, which was the largest class in years. This was some of the best racing we have
seen in years.
