Suggestions on reflector?

Hey guys.

I have been doing a lot more outdoor portrait work recently. And I have been using just natural light with my 430 ex II as a fill flash (if needed). I have been trying to get more and more out of the photo, and I know a lot of it has to deal with proper lighting setup. So I have been researching reflectors for a nice fill. I was looking at reviews on them, and a lot of them were good, but the stands that came with them were terrible and too lightweight. Well my girl friend usually comes with me on shoots, so she can aim them and all, but if she couldnt, I want that option there for a stand for sure.

Here is the main one I was looking at. Anyones opinions? I know a full lighting setup with a soft box is ideal, but its not like having a reflector setup would never be used if I did get one later on.

Thanks for the suggestion! Seems to be a cheaper setup as well.

I was also looking for a softbox setup for speedlites. 430 EX II is the flash unit I have. Will probably upgrade soon to a 580 and use them both on a dual soft box or whatever needed. So a dual soft box setup would be cool as well.

And one final question. On outdoor shoots, what do people use with umbrellas or soft boxes so far as flashes? Do you have a full studio flash unit with an external power source? Or just using speedlites on a wireless setup?

I can only speak for what I use. On location, I Usually use my Einstein as my main light. An AB800 as fill or main. A couple yongnuo 560's either gelled or bounced for effect. For modifiers I will use either a 47" octa as main, or my 22" BD. Maybe a wescott umbrella, and a reflector here or there, a VML for power and cybersyncs to fire them. I dont use ETTL, I usually shoot in manual. I can buy a 640WS Einstein for the price of a 580 EXII.

I have this. Work's pretty good.

I think everyone is different, I went for the flash approach for me in the field, cheaper option on Yongnous, but most seem to go with alienbees as a cheaper option. I find using my reflector can be hard if no one around to direct the light.

I prefer California Sunbounce reflectors. They're expensive, but IMO the best you can get. The aluminium frame is very sturdy and keeps the screen tense at any windspeed. Recently I've been shooting in 30mph wind, and the only problem was keeping my assistant on the ground while holding it

I use the Pro Zebra one (http://www.bhphotovide​o.com …0_Pro_Sun_Bounc​e_Kit.html) but a Mini (half the size) will work great as well.
