It almost looks like you've cut and pasted her into different backgrounds ...... I'm not sure if I think they are great or too unreal. I'll check back tonight !!!

I like them. My only criticism would be the water pattern on the sidewalk in #3.

I think its quite well done but the end result is that she does look very cut and pasted/fake in the photo. I think you have controlled the light/spill well but its just a little fake looking for my taste.

I think the fake looking stuff might be in part because you have three photos aligned vertically and she is in the same position in each with almost exactly the same expression. I don't know that looking at any single picture individually would seem as fake.

#1 the background is a bit distracting IMO. #2 looks great!

Do you think it's becuase the background is too dark?

I agree. She was determined to have one with the waterfall showing, I would have preferred to bokeh it out some more but, hey, she wanted it. In fact, this is the one she says she wants for her portrait. Go figure.

You mean from the rain? But that was the whole idea, to show the torrential downpour!

But it doesn't look like rain, it looks like a hose was left on because of the dry parts. I think if the entire walk was wet and shiny, it would have looked better.

I see your point, but if the whole thing had been wet, I can promise you she would not have been standing there, she was so afraid of getting that dress wet! Anyway, I appreciate the point.

I think if the bridge were showing, then the explanation would not have been necessary, and the water would make more sense.

You're right; but we were under the bridge & the only way I could've gotten a shot of the bridge would've been to step out into that deluge & homey don't play dat. :)

I actually really agree about the cut and pasted look of the photos. I don't have much of any experience yet with flash, so I can't get into anything technical other than what I just "see." The 2nd isn't too bad, but I almost feel like 1 and 3 are either cardboard cut-outs or photoshopped when I look at them.
