It has been a real hoot to watch a family of barred owls here in Ottawa. The young one fell out of the nest before it was time. Spent a couple of days on the ground. Baby has come a long way. It is now able to fly. However, it'll be some time before it starts to look like an adult barred owl. Cute and cuddly still. Photographed recently with a 40D and 400 5.6L lens. Thanks for looking. Thanks Rick. I was keeping my eye on it. It is doing very well and flying around now. Saw it eating a bird that had already been plucked y the adult owl.
