Storage for G Filter

For what its worth: On one filter an adapter below and a lens cap above, the other just a lens cap. And the two sets sit firmly in a micro hoodhat. If its going to be two in at once always the larger in on the bottom so the filter doesn't rub on the lens cap.

Big fan of Hood Hats, I have them on my big DLSLR lenses - this makes an interesting use, of course you could always leave one filter attached to your tube with the lens cap fitted and use the Hood Hat on the other end - I am sure I saw that a solution suggested on here previously...

Very nice idea. I had never heard of a hood hat. Of course, I just ordered my first set of metal hoods, so I hadn't anticipated the storage issue yet. I tried some 3 position rubber lens hoods.. and they seem to be a pain. Fortunately, they were only $2 each so no great loss.

While on a Op/tech topic. Does anyone know of an alternative to their Adapt-its for the one side of the G12? I can't seem to fit it through the strap holder on the right side as it's smaller than the left. I've tried heating it up, but I just can't get it through.

I think this will work with the smaller openings of the G12 camera strap openings. I'll let you know.

This is the micro size hat. For putting over the Canon filter adapter its a little short and a little snug.
I need to try the next size up for that job.
