which flash do you guys recommend in a good price point ?
There are so many out there and it"s so hard to pick.

580EXII if you can afford it,
430EXII if you can't.

I was looking at the 430exII but wasn't sure if there are others at the same level. I will probably go for it.

I have the 430EX II and I'm very pleased with it. Keep in mind that this one can only be a slave and not a master like the 580EX II. Just in case you need that...

Basically go with the 430EXII instead of the 580EXII unless:
You have another flash capable of being a slave to the 580EXII
You need the extra output
You need the head to swivel 360 degrees instead of 270 degrees
You don't mind the extra weight of the flash head

there are some others, but this covers the high points.
I use my 430's over my 580 more.
