The only sensible reason, IMHO, to buy a lens is to fill a specific need, not to add you one's stock. Yes, better glass can make a difference, but if you don't post images, it is impossible for anyone to know whether the main limitations of your current images are your glass. I hate it when people just repeat posts but that is exactly what I am doing here. @drogi1, what do you need another lens for? What do you want to do with it? And what is your budget? My Web Site

I've been looking through alot of the "My next lens purchase" type of post and the one lens that is often overlooked and underrated for APS-C sensor camera is the EFS 15-85. The 17-55 and 10-22 are great lens, used them both before but IMO if you are looking for the most versatile, the best range to cover UWA (15) and medium telephoto (85), and the latest generation of 4 stop IS, solidly built, and with an affordable price, this is the lens to get. The Con is the variable 3.5 - 5.6 but the 4 stop IS and high optics of the lens will result in very high IQ. Please take a look at the reviews for this lens and the new 70-300L lens. They both have variable aperture at different length but that doesn't affect the IQ. Since you also have a 50 1.4, that will serve as your low light lens if needed upon. Canon 5d Mark II / EF 24mm f/1.4 IIL / EF 70-200mm f/4 ISL / EF 16-35mm f/4 ISL / EF 24-70mm f/2.8 IIL

The Sigma is an EF mount too if that is important to you. I am serious....and don't call me Shirley.

The 85L is a great lens, I'd suggest it.
