I have decided to start palying with lighting, off camera flash, and stuff other than wildlife and sports. I got some umbrellas, stands, and other stuff to use my 580's and these are the first real attempt at it. My wife was nice enough to be the guinea pig.

good start! only thing that catches my eye is the harsh shadows on the left side of her face, use a reflector to bounce some light back and fill in the other side :) keep it up!

Thanks.

I used a reflector, you can see it in her left eye. I think I need to work a little on the light placement and flash power also as well as exposure. I always seem to lean towards underexposed for some reason. With only 2 580's I need to get better and using them efficiently, especially when I am trying to get that pure white backdrop.

Figuring out what to use for ambient light and the best way to use it also has me a little befuddled. :D
