More recently i have been looking at my on location set up and thinking there has to be a easier way. With that said I started searching around and noticed several photographers who i find to be inspirations to me to be using waist belts. I have since started looking into Think Tank products and was wondering if anyone on here is either using their modular components system or their skin components system? I am a very run and gun type shooter as my primary focus is journalism of emergency services so having the ability to bend, climb and move fast is a great advantage. I currently use two bodies one set for wide and one long and cargo pocket any extra gear. This system is better then the shoulder bag i started with but still stinks. I stay away from backpacks as I were shirts with my companies website across the back for ID. I look forward to any comments the good the bad lets hear it. Thanks

I bought a harness and belt and combination of skin and modular pouches. I bought specific pouches for specific lenses. One thing I can say is you will need the harness and not just the belt ;-)a

It is much better than a shoulder bag for lens changing and more comfortable on a long day shooting.

You might also like the TT "Change UP" belt bag as a starter, then add additional bags as necessary.

I agree, the harness is necessary, otherwise you may end up with the belt around your knees from the weight of the gear unless you cinch it up very tightly.

I use Think Tank's belt system. I am very pleased with it. I have purchased items from the skin component and from the modular component systems. I have one of the modular belts. Not the steroid version. I was surprised that I like the skin system as much as I do. Usually I go for more padding. In general use the skin component offers enough protection. The only thing that I prefer on the modular system is the fact that it does not have a flap for a cover. The open access makes it easier to put a lens in the modular system. I like the belt system very much. I opted to buy a few lens changer 50 from the modular component instead of getting different sizes. By having larger pouches, I can place any lens in any open pouch.

I wish I was fatter, hence longer belt, hence more pouches :-)

I just realized, the pouches I have are mostly Modular. I also do not like the flaps on the Skins.

I run 2 cameras. The Camera Support Straps V2 work well with the Pixel Racing Harness. They come in pairs but I use them a little differently. 1 per camera. The cameras have Black Rapid Connect r3's.
