I called Sigma earlier today. The rep said they'll be "formally announcing" the 50-150 OS at CES and should be releasing it later this year with no set date. Hope it's true this time around.

Well so much for that info. I wonder what the story is for this lens. Im still going to hold out for it though. 70 is too long on the short end for me.

Jan 18, 2012 00:14 | #20 Along with the Tokina 11-16mm and any 17-5Xmm variant, this telephoto zoom would provide APS-C sensor users with a complete set of f/2.8 zooms.

It was not. Only the 180 macro and mft pancakes were on the floor according to a buddy of mine. 60D + BG-E9 | 430EXII | Sigma 30mm 1.4 | Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 OS | Sigma 70-200 HSM II | Fuji x100

It looks like it will have great image quality. Hopefully its a good bit cheaper than the 70-200 OS once it hits the streets (looks like maybe $300 cheaper?) The Sigma 70-200 OS is really very good though, under-rated lens imho. amanathia.zenfolio.com

Not too stoked for the size, but hopefully the images will change my mind. 60D + BG-E9 | 430EXII | Sigma 30mm 1.4 | Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 OS | Sigma 70-200 HSM II | Fuji x100
