3 year ago I bought a Feisol CT-3442 ($400) from www.feisol.com (external link). From day 1 on it was a peace of s***t. 1 leg was was loose from day no matter how much I tightened it. I have a Markins Q20 ballhead but only use that combo with a lens not more then Canon MIV & 100-400 being afraid that anything heavier like the 400DO & 1.4X v3 might tip over. I emailed feisol and was told to tighten the srews.

FEISOL sucks.

I have never had a problem with the legs being loose on mine in the 3 years I have used it, once in a while... like once a year I tighten the screws but I think that would be solved by putting some light locktite in there

FEISOL sucks.

This is inconsistent with the stories I've heard where, if you're persistent they will fix/swap out tripods with issues even after the 3 year warranty period. It sounds like you got a lemon. Though their policies may have changed, I'd push for a replacement. I have the 3471 rapid and no issues.
