CL offers *very* nice discounts.

Dave F.

hmmmm I can get us a few students hehe

Sylvester XxX wrote in post #12830921 (external link)
Are we not all students of light?

I am a very big fan of that pricing.

hahhaha

aaron.dunlap wrote in post #12830964 (external link)
heck it might be worth it to sign up for a photography class for those discounts...

take either one of the first two digital photography courses, buy two strip boxes with grids and speedrings, and you've saved $50.

...Dave how do we prove we are students?

There's a procedure, Mike:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com …t.jsp/mode/edu#eduEligReq (external link)

I think the fine arts/photography requirement is loosely implemented. A family member who majored in marketing applied and was approved two years running. Too bad she graduated :( I tried to talk her into going for a Masters degree but ....

"Dave's Rent-A-Student"; great business opportunity for the ethically challenged.

The 1DsMKIII's biggest deal breaker for me, besides not so great high ISO performance, was the slow to display to the LCD.

I got mine after using the 5Dc and the 1Ds II, so it seemed amazing at the time. Note to self.... don't shoot with 1D IV or you will become discontent. :)

I could not buy a deep octa in the UK a couple of weeks ago.

No stock at all anywhere...

I've had the Baby DO and Maxilite on backorder for over a month now.... sigh.

This whole student pricing thing looks *very* attractive. Perhaps my children could buy it for me... they are in school. Does 2nd grade qualify? :)

Wait? You mean the 27.5" Deep Octa? Amazon almost always have them in stock. They say they have 6 right now: LINK (external link)

And the student discounts are pretty limited from what I have found from B&H. My dad has it and Ive been checking out somethings and most of what I was looking at wasnt even discounted.
