Shouldn't we be glad the arms race has cooled down a bit? Don't we all say that bodies are temporary, glass is forever?

Except that we're happy with our current cameras :)

 I'm more than happy with my 5Dii as well. Would just need to get some more lenses maybe. But right now I'm quite happy with the two I have. :)

Right now I have 24-70 and 85 f1.8. Not a bad combo but sometimes too short. The 70-200 sounds good, think I will try to get that next. But its not a top priority. When my salary comes in I want to get other stuff first. :)

Ahh, good to know! :) If you gonna live in the halls then having expensive electronic equipment is not a good idea. I don't know how it is Canada but in the UK student insurance will only cover items up to £500.

70-200 is my bread and butter, but I love tight crops and shooting from a little bit further away. My gear plan is sell 11-16 and 50 1.4 and try and find a 135L. Sell the 1DsII and get a new tripod eventually sell the 70-200 IS VI and get the VII. 100% covers my needs and I don't have any lighting lust (except that zoom spot , but I'm in the process of trying to convert a Selecon Acclaim ;))

I have been looking at either the 70-200 f4L or the 200 2.8L...

Both great lenses and relatively cheap to boot.

My 100mm should be sold tomorow, its gotten me great photos, its just not my kind of lens :( For portraits only i'd grab the 200 2.8, but i wanna carry the 70-200 for some landscapes as well... sooo hmmm... When i used to have the 17-40 & 70-200, it was a dream landscape combo :D

Man, if you weren't stuck in Aus, id be looking at your 1ds2 about now. After the last dud i think im gonna haggle a local store that had one in the used dep, see what they can offer me. I definitely want to get my hands on one.
