Exactly, Leo. I use my credit card but only when there's something to back it up. I don't deplete my bank account and then start buying on credit. That gets ugly real fast.

Which is why I don't have a Mola Demi right now.... well that and Pi wouldn't have even shipped it to me yet anyway. :-P

I don't have a credit card, and the only thing I've ever borrowed money for was my car (which I paid off in < 12months). I'm currently in the process of selling my car and boat, so a surplus of cash is inc. but I really don't have anything I can justify spending it on, so I'm going to take my girlfriend overseas for 4weeks when she finishes uni in 2 years time.

so true

I know, sometimes feel a bit weird that I do have my own equipment (most people borrow it from uni on strict 24h loans only). But then again I don't wear SuperDry (or TopShop), I don't go clubbing etc. A guy in my course managed to work up £1.5k debt by xmas by just going out all the time. :/

well Oskar I am not going to tell you what to do, but this is your time to be young and have fun.

Amen to that, Robert!

I do use my credit card to pay for just about everything but that's just so I can hold on to my money a little longer (I haven't paid interest on my CC in ages, though). And also so that I can accumulate CC points for free stuff (I have a 32" Sony flat-screen TV and a Les Paul electric guitar which I got for free with my CC points).

I have cash back :D

Not sure if any one is interested but "The Flash centre" in the UK, has two rare elinchrom modifiers for sale. They are the Elinchrom Sphero 60 Softlight (external link). Two hundred sterling each.

Some of you seem to be obsessed slightly with modifiers .

Psssht not us!!!

do they ship to the US?

Uh-oh, Tetrode's head is going to explode, I think. Just saw the Nikon releases.

Hugging his Mark IV, rocking up and back slowly, and whimpering softly. Yet another boatload of crap Coolpixes? I just can't believe it.

Dave F.

So sorry about that Dave. If it's any consolation, Sony just announced a new APS-C 24 megapixel camera than can shoot 12 fps. I think it's time that you switched. :)

Yeah that actually looks good. But the stupid hot shoe thing would make me not switch

If by that you mean go party. I did that when I was 16, not too proud of it. In Luxembourg the age for alcohol and tobacco is 16.

Hey, that's even cheaper per unit than the 8 GB card! Wonder why that is?

I'll have to take a closer look when I get home from work. I wasn't in the market for any cards yet but....

I know how that feels, always having the feeling "if something goes wrong with the card I'm f****d" :D

Personally I have 8GB cards. Only got 8GB because the 5Dii raw files are gigantic comparing to the 30D. :)
