I'm the opposite. Video was never a consideration for me, yet I've shot about 2 minutes of video in the couple years I've had the camera.

Pi, you should give it a try sometime.

I will watch when I get home.

Video is nice but not a major thing for me. If I need it then its cool to have.

They clips are from a drift competition. Not great by any means but they do capture more than the stills I shot, even though I prefer the stills.

Amen to that, Robert!

I do use my credit card to pay for just about everything but that's just so I can hold on to my money a little longer (I haven't paid interest on my CC in ages, though). And also so that I can accumulate CC points for free stuff (I have a 32" Sony flat-screen TV and a Les Paul electric guitar which I got for free with my CC points). :D

+1

Hmm will have to check that out.

btw, any suggestions how to light Film Noir like shot? Sort of Sin City look?

Hah, I was just writing down some ideas for a film noir shot the other day.

If by that you mean go party. I did that when I was 16, not too proud of it. In Luxembourg the age for alcohol and tobacco is 16.

Another +1 :D

Well, I've been busy so I have no idea what any of you been talking about, but I got a question that needs answering.

B&H finally got the opal glass in for the Mola dishes. Yeah, yeah, I've yet to use mine, but I still want the glass. I always liked the word opal.

I don't see anything in the accessories that holds it. Do I have whatever I need to mount the opal glass by dint of having the setti and whatever accessories came with it? I also purchased the Mola hardware kit already so have extra of those metal tube thingies and extra screws, etc.

I just selected a small aperture and picked a focus distance that was "kinda in the middle." Hand holding a camera while panning cars isn't going to allow that much sharpness anyway. Vincent is a trained professional so maybe he could pull it off, but I don't even qualify for the "Aspirational Prosumer" segment of the pie chart, let alone "That one episode of 'House.'"

I have few ideas, but I dunno how to do it properly. Will have to test it out this evening. Also sad that I don't have B&W film + chemicals. Think it would look so much better than digital + photoshop

The Opal comes with 4 clips you screw onto the metal tube thingies.
There´s a blog entry over at the Mola blog that shows a step by step instruction how to mount both the PAD and the opal glass. Very informative...

Hugging his Mark IV, rocking up and back slowly, and whimpering softly. Yet another boatload of crap Coolpixes? I just can't believe it.

Dave F.

why can't you believe it? Didn't I tell ya they were coming out with ZERO this time? But PDN is around the corner, maybe something up their sleeve for then instead of a rabbit.
