Looks like my Quadra has found a buyer after about a weeks time, and I'll be selling it end of the week.
Seems lots of people were put off by it being the old non-RX. Screw those brighter LEDs ;)

Last Elinchrom light gone. Plenty of softboxes to keep me in this thread though ;)

Congratulations, Dennis. Profoto lights and Elinchrom modifiers. Sweet!

You're no longer welcome here, Dennis. Modifiers don't count. But don't feel bad. Luke and possibly Leo will probably remain on speaking terms with you ;)

When the EU banking guy stepped down............... I watched the news to see if Dennis was going to fill in. I was disappointed.

Maybe the same people who have "read on the internet" that all Sigma lenses have to be returned to have the AF fixed. The internet is awesome for spreading untrue stories.

Glad for you that it worked out. They probably thought it was the modelling light LED that was changed, when in fact only the display LEDs were.

Tobi

Yeah. Sometimes I wonder if Elinchrom does these vague product descriptions for kicks and giggles.

So now 100% Profoto strobes?

Yes! For now. I'd really be silly not to pick up 2-4 FXRi's as BG lights before I leave India.

Dave F.

How are you liking those PCB strobes, Dave?

I don't think Leo will want to come anywhere near me, it's almost all used.

Yeah, it's a secret for Sigma owners only. (Some need to be fixed, of course, but so do some Canons.)

"The greatest", I think.

I remember when you had to use modem strings to get online. There were still people who knew nothing, but they were smarter still :-)

Yeah theres not even any point to fixing sigmas on a nikon.

So, my d600 arrived, and i love it, its very very solid, rather heavy, but i now have a real boom! I tried to boom it with a decent weight, and counter-weight, and am now thinking if having an air cushion stand wouldn't be important, seems like theres alot of weight up there, brining it down is kinda hard.

I found a manfrotto 126BSUAC, steel, with leveling leg, and air cushioned, its a bit smaller 11' then the avengers A004xxxx stands, but they aren't air cushioned. Can i hear from some of you fine folks booming these with plenty of weight ?

Cool beans, case!! The D600 is serious business!

I'm either using my Avenger A0045CS or the Matthews H386022 when I sue the D600. Regardless of the stand, if I'm booming more than 2 or 3 feet off axis I still add some weight to the base of the stand.
