All my lighting gear is used, as is my Mark IV.

On the other hand I have bought the following used:
1DsII, 1DII, 24-105, 70-200 IS I, 50 1.4, 11-16\

To keep this thread off-topic, what about some ebay goodness.

one (external link) two (external link) three (external link)

Non bank/computer destroying affordable MFD solutions.

no way! go with the HD3-II or HD4!

Now, now, Dave. Don't you go get green with envy on me just because I'm in tune with my feminine side and like to buy new instead of used stuff (there's nothing like pulling out a brand spanking new gear out of a sealed box and taking a whiff of that brand spanking new gear smell).

Of course, new shoes doesn't do anything for me, though. I only buy new shoes when my old ones has worn down to a point where I'd be too embarrassed to be seen wearing them any longer. :D

Sooooooooooooo am I the only one that buys used shoes?

yes I am joking. although my last three pairs of shoes were $10 $15 $5 (the Puma warehouse is around the corner, so is some skate company)

You get locked into a system, with the H3/H4 line, but they are good systems. If I was in the US, that "two" HD3 would be mine already.

Totally! If I were in the market for a Hassey, it'd be the H4D-31....new, of course. That's one sexy looking camera, that's for sure!

And rightly so. Otherwise, we'd be calling you TwoSneakers, instead. ;) :D

Maybe sneakers are technically shoes but that's not how I see it. To me they are very different things. ;)

H3D is not good. Its not as integrated as the H3D II

I meant II there. Just saying you're stuck with a system with no chance to upgrade "parts". The Hassey is a better "system" though and probably one I'd choose. Pretty much 22mpix is the max I'll ever need so it's more DR, Colours, Sync etc.

Now that I'm used to a 1 series, I don't think I could go back.

Yeah,t hey're photo crack.

TwoShoes wrote in post #13317481 (external link)
I always (except for my Mark IV as it was a steal) buy the last gen 1series (I have a 1DII, 1DsII and a 1DIV) as they're always the best value for money IMO.

But 1DIV is CURRENT tech, not last generation.

I dunno, maybe it's a "girl thing". I like to buy everything new.

I think so, Leo and Rob do the same thing.

PacAce wrote in post #13317811 (external link)

I wear mine until my wife can't cope any longer and throws them out...

Thanks, Dick
