The one thing I thought was out of the norm was why he was shooting at even f/16 or f/22 for full length. You lose a lot to diffraction at those apertures and there's no need for DOF on full length shots like that. Maybe up close I could understand, but it didn't seem to make sense.

Seemed out of place for a guy that talked about really testing and knowing the ins and outs of his equipment.

He actually gave his reasoning, it was because they were doing a composite and he wanted the models to be able to move without worrying about it, f16 is a good bet for that.

I think he probably could of shoot at f11 and achieved the same but maybe the packs weren't going down far enough? He was shooting them with a magnum at that point.

He did have two models up at one point as well each moving about, added with the fact that he was shooting slightly upwards to stretch them taller, it explains it a bit.
