Just thought I would share some of the images I got from my latest outing. All shot with 85 1.8 or the nifty fifty. Can't afford those red stripped lenses yet!

A lot of harsh shadows going on in this one. But I liked it anyway.

how do you get such sharpness with the 50mm, my kids are always moving out of the focus.

For me, when kids are playing (or just being themselves) AI servo focus works wonders. When I do "posed" shots I end up using Single Shot focus.

Though as most know, the nifty fifty isn't the best focusing tool in the box. I must admit that If the image is a bit soft, I'll sometimes apply a layer of a weak high pass filter set to overlay to sharpen it a tad in CS4
