Guys help me out. I can see lot of good reviews about APO DG but I cannot find any review on DG OS. In India, APO DG costs INR 11500 (approx USD 244) compared to DG OS (i.e without APO and not the f2.8 one) at INR 20500 (approx (USD 436). Which is better on IQ and sharpness?

The Tamron 70-300mm VC USD is better than the Sigma 70-300mm DG OS and about the same cost.

sorry to necromance this thread, but I've been seriously impressed with this lens: Sigma 70-30mm DG APO Macro.

check these pics out.. Really nice bokeh in my opinion even at 70mm and super sharp. So much sharper than any other zoom lens I've had (can't say I've had any really expensive ones).....but if this was $240 last year....... I got mine for $110 like new on these boards. looks like Amazon is selling it for $120 used..

my SINCERE apologies, the first two photos are from a year ago. My only excuse is that i'm dazed right now--pulled an all-nighter researching potn and considering different used lens deals/craigslist deals, etc.. What do you think about the rest of the photos?

again, those first two watch shots should be the only ones not taken by that... *red faced* :(

EDIT: allow me to shove my foot in my mouth if I could be that coordinated right now.. You weren't talking about the watch pics. I think one of the watch pics were from the 17-50mm 2.8 then. hahhaa, honestly didn't mean to mislead. Again, what do you think about the other pics :o It could have just been me again.

It's kinda sad, but I paid an additional $25 for the Sigma 10-20 lens I talked the guy down into lowering the price to 325......because I knew I couldn't drive in this tired condition...so I ended up paying him $350 for it and he had to drive about an hour and half both ways :D

does this last one make her look too much like a ghost? my wife i mean :P I desaturated it on purpose, but.. maybe too much? I have yet to really start shooting in RAW--although once I get my 32gb memory card I'll try to more

makes me want to get the 70-200 F4L, although it's about 5.5x more expensive...want to see what all the fuss is about :o I'm guessing slightly sharper and better color contrast. I would rather not have a big flashy white lens, especially on my inexpensive t1i body :)
