Me and my lovely 5Dc - Our First Month Together

I just checked .. I bought the 5Dc at ~3700 clicks and I am currently at 8154 clicks; thats ~4000 clicks in one month .. averaging 133 clicks/day

Oh, but what fun it is to take her out and listen to that mechanical click. She records awesome landscapes, and better portraits (or is it the other way round). She doth like the good glass and shines anywhere from 100-1600 ISO. Neither heavy nor light; just about right with that grip and the hanging 70-200.

P.S. Just bought a 70-200 2.8 to go with the 7D, let's see if I can say the same about it

How do you check it? Counting files?

I know how you feel, when I first got mine, I took 5500, but that was at Disney World. For some reason my family thought that was a lot.

To the OP, congrats on your 5D acquisition. I also purchased one a few weeks ago and have found the 7D/5D combo to be loads of fun.

I bought a 5Dc sometime ago...
and loved it

I had a 5D2 and a 7D as well at the time - the idea behind the 3rd body was for remote triggering and 2nd body for assistant at weddings
As each day passed, I played with it more and more... a few little things I didn't like about it (in comparison to the newed 5D and 7D) but I grew to love it more and more... I ended up using it as my 2nd body more than the 7D... and recently had an opportunity to 'trade up' the 7D to another 5Dc - and I jumped at it!

OP, great pics. It really is great camera. Mine has been with 24-70mm lens for months now. Colors/saturation has been amazing right off the camera.

I've had a few hobbies, but none this satisfying (no, THAT's not a hobby; its a habit :lol. I love the hunt, the chimping, the heartache, the joy, the painfully slow downloads, the completely chock full hard drives, the PC overheating lockup, the POTN and CL surfing for glass, the haggling, the *like* on FB, the painfully wrenching desire for objects like the 400 2.8L, etc., and knowing I am not the only dork who talks to his/her camera. And damn it, it is a work of art, I love how it looks and feels and what it does

Above all else, my cameras don't go to MACY's and buy shoes for no reason ..

I have had 2 5Dc in the past (just sold the last one), I really liked it too, but after you use some of the newer bodies, you really start to feel the age of the camera. The IQ is great though!

Yes, after using the 60D and 7D she does feel a little old at times, but then, makes up for age with quality

Now that I am back to a 7D as a backup, I feel the same way with the 1D4. I really now am convinced that the 1D4 should have just been labeled the 1D3n, it brings about 3 or 4 improvements to the 1D3, but feels and acts and is controlled the same way as the 1D3. The 7D has more modern configurable buttons, more interesting little features and functions, etc.

If they bring alot of this to the table with the 5D3 and 1Ds4, they will be spectacular cameras and the demand will be quite high for them.

Thats really Stange to me, yes I do hold my camera when I take a picture it helps but for the other question what every turn you on!
