All nice; but that first one's amazing! What a unique shot...I've never seen a waterfall dumping straight into the ocean like that.

Wow, I love #1. The water and rock texture are great. Personally, I would remove the black rock in the water (center-left) and the bare branch (top-right) as it seems to draw my eyes away from the beautiful waterfall....but that is just my opinion. Otherwise I really like it.

+1 on that great shot, but it's dumping straight into Lake Superior, not an ocean. Many, many rivers drop into Superior, and that makes for a lot of opportunities to shoot falls.

Good to know, thanks!

Never thought about getting rid of the branch but I like the thought, so I tried it (

I like the rock but cloned it out as well to see what it looks like without it. For me it could go either way but I'll let others be the judge

#1 is excellent!

IMO much better without the black rock.

What was your f-stop/shutter speed/iso?

f22, SS @ 1s, iso 100, shot at 17mm (on a crop). I was also using a polarizer and possible a 3 stop ND (not 100% sure I was using the ND at that one though)

The original was kind of "blah" and not how I saw the picture in my mind when I was shooting. So those are obviously the edited versions (still super new to editing so trying to learn my way around Aperture 3 and how to edit)

Thanks for the info - I might have to invest in a polarizer & ND filter too :D

Definitely looks much better without the black rock or the bare branch!
