400 F5.6 w TC2III AF in LV

It's probably been brought up before, but I'll post anyway. I went out today and dweebed around with my 400 F5.6 mounted to a TC2III on a 7D and discovered it will AF in live view. It ain't fast, but sure makes it nicer than trying to manually focus in LV when it's bright out.

No AF confirmation when manually focusing through the VF though.

I tried the 400mm f5.6 with a 2xTC on my 7DII. I had it on a tripod, remote shutter release, LV at 10x magnificaiton, manual focus. This, of course, is 800mm.
The shot was 650 feet away across a river. After taking my hands off the manual focus ring I had to wait until the LV showed the shaking of the camera stopped (about 8 seconds).

Yes, I did a search for the 400mm f5.6. Your comment rung a bell.

Yes, but I think manual focus in live view X10 is more accurate.
