Received the YN468 a month or so ago and only used it on camera which works fine. It works great OC in ttl or manual mode. My 602 I had for a while and still works great with my old non YN flash.

ANy Ideas why it wouldn't work together?

Do you have the flash in M mode? The hotshoe won't trigger the flash if you have it in either of the slave modes.

Yeah it is in M mode. I really hope someone can help me. My bad for waiting this long to test it OC and its to late to return.

I have to believe there' s still a setting on the 468 that you don't have right. These triggers are very simple in what they do - to fire the flash they just short the center pin to ground. So if the 468 works on camera, and the 602 works with another flash, then that triggering mechanism seems to be working on both. But for some reason the 468 isn't firing when triggered.

The only other thing I can think of is that the 468 may be confused by some of the other pins being grounded in the 602's hot shoe. So you might want to try taping over those other contacts, leaving only the center pin in contact between the 468 and 602.

Well that solved the problem nicely. Strange that I would need to do this considering that both are from the same company. Then again the 468 wasn't out when the 602s were sold.

Thanks

Well that's great. Does that make the 468 fit pretty tight in the 602 hotshoe?

I just used a bit of Scotch tape. I Dont think it made much of a diffrence in the fit.
